The IEC standard defines methods for measuring the contact resistance of connectors and relays with very low signals.

The Hioki RM3545 high resistance meter with low power resistance capability (also known as dry circuit testing) meets these standards.

In order not to damage the oxide layer of the contact part, the upper limit of the open circuit terminal voltage is 20mV

The maximum measurement current will never exceed 1mA, which provides an ideal test environment for measuring contact resistance in the range of 0.1μΩ to 1kΩ.

Main points
•The 4-terminal method uses a 4-pin probe to determine the volume resistivity and surface resistivity (sheet resistance) from the resistance value measured using the 4-terminal method. 4-terminal measurement using resistance meter RM3545, 4-pin probe and PC application software.
•There are two types of 4-pin probes, with pin pitches of 1.5mm and 5.0mm.
•Measurement units are volume resistivity, surface resistivity and conductivity. It can also be used as a reference value to select resistor values.
•The calculated compensation coefficient can also be displayed from the input dimensions and coordinates of the test sample.
•Equipped with a measurement mode that complies with the JIS K 7194 standard (when using a 5.0mm needle probe) ※Please contact us separately for details about the standard.
• It has application-specific conveniences such as guidance display of detection position, display of measurement history, and CSV output of measurement results.
•Measure low resistance values with basic accuracy 0.006% and maximum resolution 0.01μΩ (parameters of RM3545). This results in high-precision volume resistivity.
